Hi Joyce! Merry Christmas to you and your family! I love New Orleans…probably my favorite city in the states and the food is wonderful. Enjoy every moment. One of my main reasons for being on the planet is to make people feel really big. As you can see, I have succeeded with Kyle. He’s still 5’7″ and I’m still under 5′ though:( The blue lights are called Illumination and they do it downtown on the river in Tokyo. Kyle and I went with Ling Ling who told us it was supposed to replicate the blue caves in Venice??? Anyway it was beautiful and went on forever. Japan has constantly surprised me. It’s a magical mysterious place:) Enjoy the casino’s and who knows maybe Monte Carlo could work:) Happy holidays!

Thanks Mike! Merry Christmas to you and Joan! Hear you saw Robert and Garrett yesterday. I got a little sick yesterday and last night we boarded the night bus to Osaka for a fun filled 9 hour drive:). Now we’re in an Internet cafe waiting to check in to our rooms later… You rent this little tiny space that you can watch movies in or sleep in or God knows what:). They are just all open and next to one another with videos everywhere. It’s like $4.00 an hour…very weird and yet wonderful if you feel crappy;)

Hi Kelley! Glad you had a nice Christmas…and now the work begins. I’m sure leaving the old house and getting set up in the new one will be bittersweet…probably even more so for Ross…but I know in the end you will all love it. Once you move your things in and make all your special touches like you do, I know you’ll all be glad to be there. The living space will be great for y’all. Please don’t forget to send some pictures. I am laying low today reading which is a bummer because Kyle had plans for us today:(. I’m sick though and trying to get well so I can go see monkeys that hang out at temples and small deer that walk through the streets and let you pet them. Sounds like fantasy island to me;) I’ll keep you posted. Hugs and love to you and your family!

Hi Lupita! That is so funny…Kyle only looks tall because he is standing next to me…I have that effect on everyone. I consider it my gift to shorter people. Please give Gary a big hug from all of us. I’m having a blast and learning alot. It hasn’t all been easy for sure and I definitely miss Robert but I’m 100% glad I’m doing this:) Happy New Year to you and Gary. Hope 2015 brings you lots to smile about! Love you Lupita, HUGS!

what great pictures.Whats the rabbit with antlers or is that a Japanese reindeer 🙂 Christmas wasn’t the the same without your smiling face my dear. But we still had a great time with Robert and Garrett.

I am so enjoying your stories and hope you will publish the best ones once you get home. Safe travels for the New Year and I look forward to reading about your next adventures. Love M

Hi Mandy! Thanks for taking care of my guys again on Christmas! They said they had fun…sounded like you had a crew:) Okay so the rabbit and friends…Japan can be more than weird:). Kyle took me to this crazy crowded street with shops on either side and they carry cheap trendy things in them and have hawkers. Random people, for instance even I could do it if I felt like it, dress up in bizarre costumes and walk around and people take their photo with them and talk to them like they are celebrities or something but they are really just average crazy people dressed weird for the night. Anybody can have their 15 minutes here:) Happy New Year Year my friend!!!

Hi Cindy! West Texas is always good:) I have really enjoyed being with Kyle in Japan. He gets this country in a way I will never be able to because he speaks the language. My impressions just all come from the gut:) All my sons are great…but really, what mom would say otherwise:) Only my youngest just recently got married and I believe grandkids for me are several years in the future though I have been ready for them for several years…so I’m very jealous. In fact I wanted them so much I got a chihuahua instead and now he has becomes Robert’s dog. It broke my heart to leave him…the dog, not Robert…okay both of them really:) But you are right, I do have a little of the same craziness left in me from our youth so I couldn’t do this any other way. One day either there, Colorado or South America we will need to get caught up on family and life. In the meantime Happy New Year! Also, I still suck at chopsticks and I am reading your book reccomendation, “The Flamenco Academy” Can’t put it down. Wonderful! Thank you!
